Charles Whitmore tested an energy force light on Desmond this light is similar to that of the light in the forbidden cave where the smoke monster exited from. Desmond was able to survive the test perhaps imposter Locke whose energy system is similar to the one tested on Desmond, is afraid if Desmond can survive the test he can survive the smoke monster. I feel whitmores test and smoke monster are both electrical energy when one hears the smoke sound it sounds like eletrcity rlectrical energy. Observations Didn't Desmond survive a bunker explosion in a previous season of lost. imposter Locke manipualated ben in to killing jacob because he can not do it himself imposter Locke persuades Sayid into killing Desmond perhaps he can not kill him also. Here in lies another similarity between Jacob and Desmond. -What if all the dead people seen is actually the smoke monsters manipulation. -Perhaps Whitmore is trying to counter the black smoke (mib) by creating a light force out of Desmond. Light versus darkness. And Desmond will take the responsibilities of Jacob -The black smoke is similar to the angel of death in ten commandments -I wonder why All the people on the list must be dead in order 4 him to leave the island perhaps in order to leave he must prove the cruelty of humanity is real but he can not prove this if he kills them so they must kill each other in order to prove his belief. It seems that Charles Widmore knows something about Desmond that justified the entire expedition to the island with his guards, technicians, crew, etc. The technicians were apparently preparing to test when Widmore forced them to proceed immediately into the high-energy test that Desmond survived. This suggests that Widmore understands why it matters that Desmond is able to survive. IMO, yes, Locke is afraid of Desmond. Also, since Desmond ran over Locke with his car in the alternate reality, it seems safe to assume that Desmond is hostile to Locke there. We didn't see this on the island, where Desmond was pretty easygoing and walked right into Sayid and Locke's hands. |
