Island underwater?

Basically the island was staying afloat because of the cork / stone in the pocket of energy.

If it is removed the island sinks... If you look back at the start of season 6 the island has sunk! So that means Ben and Hurley failed!

LOST fan movie

The movie will basically be about Hurley and Ben protecting the island, a bigger badass smoke-monster daemon, and a group over people who over throw Hurley 1000 years in the future.

There will be a power ranger fight between Hurley and the new daemon.

The daemon tricks the people into unplugging the island bunghole which kills Ben and Hurley and sinks the island to the bottom of the sea.

Then the universe ends because the daemon escapes the island.

It's all good though because Hurley and Ben chuckle about it in the limbo as Hurley walks into the church.

It would seem that the large pocket of energy was holding the island afloat and it's cause for moving around. When they destroyed that energy with a nuclear bomb, the island fell to the bottom of the sea. This is just a theory.
