The island heart

The room in the cave with the light looked like a sacrificial pit. Desmond removed what appeared to be a rock totem from the middle of the pond. It seemed to have a "cork" like properties. After removing the totem, the cave filled with ligt, then the water evaporated and the room was filled with red light. It appeared to be hot, Desmond screamed. Back above the cave, un-locke lost his power and Jack was able to hurt him... But then un-locke hit him with a rock.
